This four-bedroom two-floor townhouse with a spacious solarium , BBQ, and stunning views over the 10th-century castle and fortress places you among the pebble-stone narrow streets of the historic centre, within walking distance of Marbella Harbour and the beach .
Interior — Set in the centre of Marbella's Old Town (Casco Antiguo) and surrounded by pedestrianised streets, this 4-bedroom townhouse combines a bright atmosphere, white decor, and modern everyday comforts. On the ground floor, the living room offers a spacious and versatile setting with a dining area and sitting area connected to the open-plan kitchen. The sitting area features comfortable leather sofas arranged around a glass coffee table beside a flat-screen TV. The dining area includes a generous eight-seater dining table with upholstered chairs. Air conditioning and marble floors help keep the space comfortable, and high-speed internet is available throughout. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, electric hob, vitro ceramic, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, compact capsule espresso machine, water kettle, and fully equipped cabinetry. A neat island with barstools provides a practical spot for breakfast or a quick snack. You don't need to buy bottled water, as the cold tap water is filtered. The family bathroom on this level is a modernised space with a rainhead shower, toilet, and sink with a mirror. A staircase from the living room leads to the first floor, where you will find the four bedrooms. Each bedroom has a comfortable double bed, air conditioning, a modern flat-screen TV, nightstands with lamps, and garment clothes hangers with shelves. One of the bedrooms also includes a workspace with a laptop table. The family bathroom on this floor has a walk-in shower with a rainhead, toilet, and sink with a mirror.
Terrazas/Jardín — The sun-drenched rooftop terrace is a standout feature of the townhouse, designed for relaxing, dining, and spending time together outdoors. It includes a BBQ area and two separate spaces for lounging and dining, with views over the Old Town and the mountains. Reached by staircase, the solarium gives you a peaceful spot right in the centre of town, overlooking the pedestrian-friendly streets as well as Marbella's medieval fortress and castle. Its location also gives the terrace a special connection to local life in the historic centre. During certain times of year, depending on the official route and programme, guests may be able to enjoy the atmosphere of some of Marbella's most traditional celebrations from the solarium. Semana Santa is especially memorable, with processions passing through the Old Town area, and other annual festivities may include parts of the San Bernabé celebrations, the Three Kings festivities, and Carnival events. The terrace dining area includes an eight-seater table, while the lounge area is furnished with comfortable rattan sofas, armchairs, and chairs for unwinding after a day at the beach or a stroll through the city.

Vecindario — The townhouse is set in the heart of Marbella’s Old Town (Casco Antiguo) , surrounded by whitewashed houses, charming plazas, and narrow cobbled streets full of local character. From the door, you can easily explore some of Marbella’s best-known historic spots, including Plaza de los Naranjos , the castle walls and alcazaba , Iglesia de la Encarnación , the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving , Avenida del Mar , and Parque de la Alameda . You are also within walking distance of the beach , the Paseo Marítimo , and Puerto Deportivo Virgen del Carmen , making it easy to combine Old Town atmosphere with time by the sea. For guests who enjoy nature and mountain views, the Sierra Blanca area, including routes and viewpoints around Juanar and La Concha , makes an excellent day trip by car.
Playa — Marbella offers visitors around 26 kilometres of coastline , giving you plenty of choice throughout your stay. The nearest city beaches include Playa de Venus , close to the marina and Avenida del Mar; Playa del Faro , a central beach in the lighthouse area; Playa de la Fontanilla , popular for its lively promenade setting and beach restaurants; and Playa de la Bajadilla , known for its calmer waters near the fishing port. The nearby Paseo Marítimo links these beaches and is ideal for a seafront walk, an easy beach day, or stopping at a chiringuito along the way. For even more beach options, Río Real is is also a short drive away.
Shopping/Restaurants — The streets around the townhouse are lined with small boutiques, local shops, cafés, and tapas bars, so exploring the area on foot is part of the experience. For fresh produce and local ingredients, Mercado Municipal de Marbella is an excellent option for fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, cheese, wine, and other Spanish specialities. You will also find grocery shops and everyday essentials within the town centre. Dining options are plentiful within a short walk, whether you are looking for a relaxed lunch, traditional Andalusian dishes, or an evening of tapas in the Old Town. Very close to the house, El Rincón de la Muralla enjoys a setting by the old town wall, while nearby options also include Urban Gourmet , El Patio de Mariscal , Marbella Patio , El Balcón de la Virgen , and Casa Eladio .
Activities — Marbella’s centre is ideal for exploring on foot, whether you want to wander through the Old Town, spend time in Plaza de los Naranjos , or visit the nearby Iglesia de la Encarnación . For art and culture, the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving is close by, while Avenida del Mar offers an open-air display of Salvador Dalí sculptures on the way to the sea. Parque de la Alameda is another pleasant stop for a shaded stroll, and the marina, promenade, and beaches are all within easy reach. If you would like to experience another side of Marbella, Puerto Banús is a short taxi ride away for luxury shopping, dining, and nightlife.

Nos alojamos una semana con nuestros dos hijos y no podríamos haber pedido una mejor ubicación. La terraza de la azotea se convirtió en nuestro lugar favorito para las cenas mientras veíamos la puesta de sol sobre el castillo. La ubicación en el Casco Antiguo nos permitía ir a todas partes a pie—sin necesidad de coche. Sarah fue increíblemente atenta e incluso nos preparó una cuna para el más pequeño. ¡Ya estamos planeando nuestra próxima visita!
Como pareja que ama las experiencias de viaje auténticas, Casa Castillo superó nuestras expectativas. La casa mantiene su carácter andaluz tradicional mientras ofrece todo lo necesario para una estancia cómoda. ¡Cocinamos marisco fresco del mercado cercano en la barbacoa de la azotea dos veces! Las cuatro habitaciones nos dieron flexibilidad para recibir amigos que se unieron a nosotros un fin de semana.
Reunir a tres generaciones (abuelos, padres e hijos) nunca es fácil, pero esta casa lo hizo sencillo. La distribución ofrece privacidad cuando se necesita y espacios compartidos hermosos para las cenas familiares. Mis padres amaron el fácil acceso al centro histórico sin subir cuestas. Los niños declararon la azotea 'el mejor castillo del mundo.' ¡Gracias por recuerdos inolvidables!
Usamos Casa Castillo como nuestra base mientras explorábamos la región. Excursiones de un día a Ronda, Gibraltar y Estepona eran todas manejables, pero nos encantaba regresar al tranquilo Casco Antiguo cada noche. La casa está bellamente amueblada y la cocina tiene todo lo necesario. Nota menor: las escaleras son empinadas (típico de casas históricas) lo que podría ser desafiante para niños pequeños.
